You have to set a commission for your affiliates. You want a high enough commission to draw the super-affiliates and other serious people that will increase your website traffic. If possible you should make the commission between 40%-50%. That should draw some really draw some heavy hitters. Also remember if you are using a service, they will be taking a small percentage for their part.
When it is hosted you may want to have your own affiliate page. On this page you put all your marketing tools. , Ads, banners, or buttons. Or even just your text link anything to help increase your website traffic. Make sure they work first. You put these on the page in a cut and paste format, just add the affiliate number. Make it easy for new affiliates.
Now you should have a small army of people promoting your product, and driving people to your website. This doesn’t mean that you should stop marketing your website. That should be ongoing.
